Winning films were screened on November 27 and 28 (6 p.m. till 1 a.m.), at the Loscon 36 sci-fi convention, held at the Airport Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.
Also screened were four additional Official Selections.
Attending filmmakers and/or actors included Hannelle Culpepper and Mia Ford (Within), Alex Bram and Cat Deakins (Body of Work), Jose Carlos Gomez and Colleen Boag (Bled White), Patrick Clement and Oron Mendel (The Eternal Pitfall of Prokofiev), Sean Fernald and Joe Moe (Red Velvet), William Malone (Parasomnia), Eddie McMullen, Terry M. West, and Dean Newbury (Last Call).
The screenings ran over two nights, from 6 p.m. till around 1 a.m. Screenings were followed by audience Q&A sessions with the attending filmmakers.
Jose Gomez traveled the farthest to attend, flying in to L.A. from Chicago. His film's actress, Colleen Boag, while a native Midwesterner, has moved to L.A. since completing Bled White.
